NH2829 New Material

NH2829 High Cost Effective New Material is a high-performance heat-resistant alloy independently developed by Qingdao NPA Industrial Co., Ltd. It has obtained a national invention patent (ZL202311060407.9). Through solid solution strengthening and second phase particle strengthening, NH2829 alloy exhibits excellent comprehensive properties, as well as good long-term microstructure and performance stability; By optimizing the composition design, nickel resources are saved, and the cost-effectiveness is higher. It can completely replace alloys such as Cr28Ni48W5 to make furnace rollers, radiation tubes, and other components, which can be applied in high-temperature and corrosive environments to meet the long-term stable operation needs of high-temperature equipment. Microstructure

The NH2829 alloy is mainly composed of Cr, Ni, and W alloying elements, with the addition of microalloying elements such as Co and Nb. Its microstructure consists of an austenitic matrix and NbC (white) and Cr ₇ C ∝ (gray) carbides.

High Temperature Strength

At high temperatures of 1000 ℃ and 1100 ℃, the tensile strength and yield strength of the Cr28Ni48W5 alloy are significantly better than those of the traditional Cr28Ni48W5 alloy. The specific data are as follows.

Hardness

Hardness is an important indicator for measuring the wear resistance and adhesion resistance of alloys. The hardness of NH2829 alloy is significantly improved through the solid solution strengthening effect of W and Co elements, as well as the dispersion strengthening effect of NbC and Cr ₇ C Ⅲ second phase particles. The Brinell hardness of NH2829 alloy is increased by more than 25% compared to Cr28Ni48W5. The higher hardness can effectively resist the adhesion and wear of oxide scales and foreign objects on the surface of components, reduce the formation of nodules, and extend the wear life of components, reducing maintenance costs.

High Temperature Endurance Performance

In terms of high-temperature durability, the durability life under the same conditions is better than that of Cr28Ni48W5.

The creep elongation under the same conditions is about one-third of that of Cr28Ni48W5 alloy, and its bending resistance is superior.
